Summer is slowly slipping away, the days are passing faster. You know the feeling that there aren’t too many hours in the day. That feeling has been consistent lately..

I’ve been hella busy working on other projects and being social — which has had a slightly negative impact on this blog. Most of my time has been spent working on the re-launch of spotlight. After a long list of setbacks and disappointments, I realized that true to old adage, if you want something done right do it yourself. If you don’t know how to do it, learn it.

So I’ve spent time behind books and in a classroom, filling in the missing puzzle pieces in my head. It has been a very rewarding and frustrating experience trying to learn new skills. There’s no better feeling than knowing that you are self-sufficient when it comes to goals and aspirations. We all need to lean and ask for help, but there’s a special feeling that you get through achievements. We’re close now, the light is just around the corner and I’m extremely proud to say that almost all the work has been done in house. I’m looking to re-launch in a few weeks, and this time, the timeline feels realistic.

Other than that, it’s summer. Toronto is full of festivals and activities during this time of the year. We’re creeping into August now and there’s not a lot of time left before fall. Enjoy it, and we’ll talk soon.

I was once an ambassador,
City streets ; I roamed with pride
Seasons brushed my face; as I explored every nook
Monuments rose and fell; I lived through these changes
Blood spilled, life became ash; alone I stood, steadfast….

I some times go over board. I’ve been told this, I know this. I eat with my eyes, and it doesn’t help that I have an unhealthy sweet tooth..

I live very close to the St. Lawrence market — there’s no calmer stroll in the weekend mornings. Early mornings, before the hustle and bustle begins on front street with families and foodies looking for veggies and goodies. Most people don’t understand why you’d wake up at 7 in the morning and take a walk until they’ve actually tried it. As busy as downtown gets during the week, early Saturday mornings are the polar opposite.

Florentine crisps, beautiful red cherries, chocolate dipped strawberries (got the girl), a pecan tart, custard, and the freshest chocolate croissant.

Need I say more?

I spent 2 weeks in California last year on a project. Every evening was spent exploring the coast lines of the PCH with a rental car that I was so graciously provided. I have many moments cultivated from the alone time on the coast. Here’s a shot taken just north of Santa Monica while the sun was setting over the Pacific.

On this weekend at Nathan Phillip’s Square. A celebration of Thai culture. Eat, Listen, and Dance with the local Thai community of Toronto. Deep fried Spring Rolls, spicy mango chicken, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh gimme.

The crazy temperamental weather continues!. This is July! Where’s the heat, humidity, sweaty shirts on the street and the barely legal short skirts. Instead we dreams of Balkan coast lines and tropical islands.

I want my money back.
